Era University is looking for a compassionate and responsible Patient Counsellor to provide psychological assessment, counselling, and support. The position is suitable for candidates with a postgraduate degree in Psychology or a related field.
The selected candidate will support patients or clients with emotional and behavioural concerns. The role requires empathy, strong communication, confidentiality, and good knowledge of counselling techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological assessments and interviews.
- Perform behavioural evaluations.
- Provide individual counselling and psychological support.
- Identify emotional, behavioural, and psychological concerns.
- Prepare counselling and intervention plans.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
- Monitor client progress.
- Modify counselling strategies when required.
- Guide clients on stress management and emotional well-being.
- Support clients with relationships and coping strategies.
- Coordinate with healthcare and support professionals.
- Maintain professional and ethical standards.
- Participate in awareness programs and workshops.
- Support mental health initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or Counselling Psychology from a recognized university.
- Good knowledge of psychological assessment techniques.
- Good knowledge of counselling techniques.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Empathy and patience.
- Non-judgmental approach.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
