Key Responsibilities

Write and edit fast, accurate, engaging sports news (Cricket mandatory, plus Football, Tennis, WWE)

Proofread and refine articles for clarity, grammar, structure, and editorial standards

Optimize articles for SEO, metadata, keywords, and Google Discover visibility
-
Guide writers on content quality, headlines, and engagement improvement
-
Ensure timely publishing of breaking news, match updates, and trending topics
Skills & Experience
-
3–5 years of experience in sports writing/editing
-
Strong knowledge of Cricket and other major sports
-
Hands-on experience in SEO and Discover-friendly formatting
-
Excellent English grammar, vocabulary, and editing skills
-
Ability to work in a fast-paced digital newsroom
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with a digital media house or sports news portal

Understanding of sports analytics and match statistics

Ability to track Google Trends and trending sports stories

Experience driving month-on-month Discover traffic growth
