International Accounting Manager Insomnia Cookies

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification and MBA preferred.
• 6+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in an international setting within retail or similar industries.
• Strong analytical and technical accounting skills, particularly in cost accounting, budgeting, and financial modeling.
• Familiarity with accounting systems (e.g., Sage, Hyperion, SAP) and advanced Excel functions.
• Proven ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial accounting functions for Insomnia Cookies’ international locations in the UK and Canada, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger management.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy in balance sheets and intercompany reconciliations.
• Collaborate with US and international teams on operational alignment and business expenses.
• Ensure compliance with VAT/GST/HST submissions and work closely with tax managers and external auditors for timely reporting.
• Guide US-based team members on UK and Canada accounting processes and contribute to process improvements.
