Position: Store Associate

Starting Wage: $17.50 per hour
Wage Increases:

• Year 2: $18.00
• Year 3: $18.50
• Year 4: $18.50
• Year 5: $19.50

Job Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Provide prompt, courteous assistance and maintain a positive shopping environment.
• Cashier Duties: Operate the register efficiently and accurately, following cash policies to minimize losses.
• Merchandising: Stock shelves, maintain displays, and ensure products are easily accessible to customers.
• Cleaning & Maintenance: Perform general cleaning to uphold store standards, including using equipment like hand jacks and floor scrubbers safely.
• Inventory Management: Participate in inventory counts, monitor stock for accuracy, and provide feedback on products and inventory.
• Team Collaboration: Work with team members, communicate effectively with management, and contribute to team goals.
• Policy Compliance: Uphold ALDI’s policies, including the confidentiality of data and adherence to safety protocols.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 45 pounds.
• Required to stand, sit, bend, reach, and walk as necessary to complete tasks.
• Must be able to perform job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

• Age Requirement: 18 years or older.
• Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, attention to detail, ability to multitask, and provide exceptional customer service.
• Experience: Retail experience preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is beneficial.
• Equipment Handling: Ability to operate equipment such as electric/manual hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and cardboard balers.
• Alcohol Sales Compliance: Must meet state and local requirements for handling and selling alcohol.
