Job Overview/Description:
This role involves protecting IBM’s systems and applications from cyber threats. As a Software Security Engineer, you will design and implement secure software frameworks, identify vulnerabilities, and develop mitigation strategies. You’ll work closely with development and IT teams to ensure every product release meets global cybersecurity standards.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
• Implement security controls during the software development lifecycle.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents in real time.
• Create technical documentation and audit reports.
• Collaborate with global security teams to maintain compliance.
• Recommend updates to enhance system protection.
Skills & Requirements:
• Strong knowledge of network and application security.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++.
• Familiarity with tools like Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, and Metasploit.
• Understanding of encryption algorithms and access control models.
• Analytical mindset and excellent troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to handle pressure and meet tight deadlines.
